Workshop description: In this workshop, participants will learn a brief history of weaving and off-loom weaving. Participants will discover the mindfulness of weaving. They will also understand the basics of weaving. Participants will start with the same pattern/structure, then participants will begin a pattern of their choosing. They will learn how to begin the warp and weft on a 5″ x 5″ piece of wood (without pegs or grooves). They will use a tapestry needle for the shuttle.
Materials fee: $20.00 covers several colors of yarn, three different tapestry needles, threader, 5″ x 5″ piece of wood, and handouts.
Student supply list: Students are to bring scissors.
Skill Level: All levels are welcome.
