Workshop description: In this workshop students will learn how to weave a multicolor twill base with “cathead” base footing, continuous over two/under two side weave with undulating ridge, and a lashed rim. The result is a stunning decorative, open, bowl-shaped twill basket measuring 14” wide and 6” tall that can be used as a functional container or as a displayed art piece. This basket is not very flexible/adaptable in terms of size, design, and scope, so it is as you see it, except some weavers have chosen to make it slightly shorter, which slightly lessens the time it takes to weave.
Materials Fee: $10.00 includes the instructor bringing all the materials, tools, and supplies needed to weave the basket.
Student supply list: Students do not need to bring any supplies.
Skill level: Students can be new to experienced weavers.
